Rostek UK Limited BMU Installation at Birmingham’s Beorma Quarter

Another milestone reached on this exciting Birmingham project

We’re pleased to share a progress update from Rostek UK Limited, as our team continues work at the impressive Beorma Quarter in Birmingham.

As part of the ongoing development, we have now installed a Building Maintenance Unit, marking another important milestone as this exciting project continues to take shape.

Built for the building’s future

A Building Maintenance Unit is an important piece of equipment when it comes to the long term maintenance of a modern building.

The BMU provides controlled access to the building’s façade, allowing maintenance teams to carry out essential activities such as façade cleaning, inspections and maintenance safely and efficiently.

For a development of the scale and height of Beorma Quarter, having the right façade access equipment in place is an important part of planning for the building’s future.

A few fun facts about Beorma Quarter

There’s plenty of interesting history and engineering behind this Birmingham landmark!

🏙️ A new addition to Birmingham’s skyline
Beorma Tower reaches approximately 113 metres, making it a striking feature of Birmingham’s evolving skyline.

📜 The name has history
The name “Beorma” has Anglo-Saxon connections and is associated with the early settlement that eventually became Birmingham. So, while the development has a very modern appearance, its name reaches right back into the city’s history.

🏗️ A major construction project
The scale of the development has involved some impressive construction techniques and engineering, with the tower itself forming a significant part of the regeneration of this area of Birmingham.

🏛️ Old meets new
One of the particularly interesting aspects of Beorma Quarter is the combination of modern development with historic buildings. The Grade II-listedCold Store, dating back to 1899, forms part of the wider development.

🌆 Right in the heart of Birmingham
Beorma Quarter sits close to Digbeth and Birmingham city centre, an area that has undergone  and continues to undergo significant regeneration.

One step closer

With the BMU now installed, another important stage of our work at Beorma Quarter has been achieved.

However, the project is still ongoing, and there is more work to come before everything is fully finished.

We’re proud to be playing our part in such a significant Birmingham development and look forward to seeing Beorma Quarter continue to progress.

A big thank you to everyone involved so far from the project team and contractors to our own team here at Rostek UK Limited.
